A few garden upgrades.

Picked some paving stones and a water barrel up from Home Depot:

...put the stones around the peremetre of the garden bed:

After a bit of tin-snipping, I installed the water barrel under a downspout.
Found some wild thyme growing in the bushes behind the house, so I transplanted that into the top of the barrel. We'll see if it takes:

And then for good measure, I finally picked some of that wild rhubarb growing  in the backyard for dessert tonight! :)

Gutter Guard

Beautiful day today, took the opportunity to chuck some gutter guard into the eaves trough.
We've got a few large spruce trees hanging over both sides of the house, which fills he gutters with enourmous amounts of material throughout the year.

Veggie Garden

So apparently this is what happens when you take some of those potatoes you forgot to eat, and put them in a box full of dirt.

Also, the peas, carrots, lettuce and tomatoes are coming along well after 2-3 weeks

First Garden Bed Away

Just finished building this little unit over the weekend.
Spent about a hundred bucks on materials at Home Depot, and another $70 or so on soil from the local Art Knapp.

Gonna grow some salads!!!

"For Sale" signs everywhere

So the summer rush to sell houses has arrived. They've popped up in our hood this year as fast as the dandelions have.

We were feeling a little left out, so we went down to our local grocery store, "Home Sweet Home," and picked up a sign of our own. :)

The New Year Dump

The snow just kept falling yesterday and today, despite the warm temperature.

Great couple of days to test out the new skis. ;-)
