The mistake I made in building them, was not leaving two of the posts at full length in order to nail up some lattice for beans, tomatoes, etc. to climb. Hat method would have cost another 1-2 hundred dollars though, as posts are bloody expensive, so the silver lining here may be that I can come up with another cheaper solution using some of the scrap wood around the yard.

A few garden upgrades.
Picked some paving stones and a water barrel up from Home Depot:
Found some wild thyme growing in the bushes behind the house, so I transplanted that into the top of the barrel. We'll see if it takes:
And then for good measure, I finally picked some of that wild rhubarb growing in the backyard for dessert tonight! :)
